Let's be upfront: Sonos already supports Amazon Music natively. For most people the best experience is to add Amazon Music as a music service directly inside the Sonos app, you get native, gapless, high-quality playback controlled from Sonos itself. If that works for you, use it.
But native isn't the right fit for everyone. Maybe you mostly listen in the Amazon Music web player on your laptop, maybe the native service isn't available to add in your country's Sonos app, or maybe you just don't want to switch apps. In those cases the free Cast to Sonos Chrome extension lets you cast the audio from the Amazon Music tab straight to your Sonos speakers.
What you'll need

Frequently asked questions
Doesn't Sonos already support Amazon Music?
Yes, for most listeners the best experience is adding Amazon Music as a service directly in the Sonos app, which gives native, gapless, high-quality playback. Cast to Sonos is for the cases that native integration doesn't cover, such as casting from the browser web player or when the native service is unavailable in your region.
When would I use Cast to Sonos instead of the native Sonos integration?
Use it when you want to play from the Amazon Music web player on your computer, when the Amazon Music service isn't available to add in your country's Sonos app, or when you're already listening in the browser and just want it on your Sonos speakers without switching apps.
Will the audio sound as good as native?
Native Sonos playback is the highest quality option. Cast to Sonos streams at up to HD stereo on premium, which is great for casual listening, but for critical, lossless listening the native Amazon Music integration in the Sonos app is the better choice.
Is Cast to Sonos free?
Yes. The free tier streams in mono with no account required. Premium unlocks HD stereo audio and multi-room groups.
